Fujifilm, mTuitive Partner to Integrate Digital Pathology Platforms

Fujifilm Healthcare Americas began a strategic partnership with mTuitive, a provider of synoptic reporting solutions.

The duo aims to integrate mTuitive’s structured pathology reporting platform with Fujifilm’s Synapse Pathology, a comprehensive pathology PACS that streamlines case management through proprietary image digitization advances. The collaboration will unify diagnostic data across pathology and imaging to accelerate decision-making and support coordinated, evidence-based care.

Integrating the companies’ technologies creates a pathology-to-enterprise pipeline where structured pathology reports—including CAP and Commission on Cancer compliant synoptic data and biomarker information—automatically flow from mTuitive through the Laboratory Information System (LIS) into Synapse.

Final pathology reports automatically appear in Synapse after signing out. Structured reports appear alongside radiology images in tumor board to enable more cohesive acre decisions. Streamlined workflows eliminate duplicative data entry while respecting the LIS system of record.

Organizations can leverage more value from existing systems without implementing new platforms, the duo said. Structured pathology data also supports cancer registries, clinical analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) applications.

Earlier this week, Fujifilm launched the EB-710US ultrasound bronchoscope, a next-gen endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) designed to streamline workflow and enhance imaging performance for pulmonogists.
